Matthew Allen is an architectural historian, Visiting Assistant Professor at Washington University in St. Louis, and theorist of the design of large socio-technical systems. He is the author of the forthcoming book Architecture becomes Programming: Modernism and the Computer, 1960-1990, as well as essays in venues such as Log, e-flux, Domus, and the Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians.
